Alice In Wonderland Themed Birthday Party

OLIVE TURNED ONE LAST MONTH! Can you believe it? Time flew. Since Olive was in the WOMB I knew I would hop on this trend and I am glad I did. But to spare the details, I thought I would list out all that we did to make this party a blast!

First of all let’s talk outfits, we decided to go with a classic mommy and daughter look! I bought them for Jessa Kae and they were worth EVERY penny. Super comfy and Olive LOVED her dress.

Mommy Dress, Baby Dress

I think my favorite part of the day and of the party, was decorating everything. I really wanted to make her first birthday special. Mainly because she is our first earth side baby and we are just so proud that we did it! That we got through the very difficult baby season we had haha!

So- let’s talk cake, food, decorations.

Cheshire Cat was a huge hit! Olive absolutely loved it and it came right in time for her party. We bought these cute little drink me bottles from Party City. ( I mistakingly thought that these were huge bottles and meant for drinking… jokes on me. They were mini bottles). I filled the bottles with pink lemonade and handed them out to the little kids.

We bought a lot of faux flowers from Michaels. And I DIY’d the cookies. We looked around the house for old clocks that we could scatter around the venue.

I also made this balloon arch from amazon. I will say, it popped a few times, I am not sure if that was due to me being an experienced balloon artist or the quality. But it still worked and the popped confetti balloons became decor that looked intentional. To save you time an energy… YOU NEED this balloon pump.

You can thank me later for that one.

I also found the grass on amazon as well. I just cut it to fit in the center of each table.

Each table had a cheap white table cloth that I bought from target for literally $1.50. I also hit the dollar spot and scored these cute tea vases to put the flowers in. I added her “chatbooks” which I had been doing since she was born and people were able to look through them.

I bought the plates from Michaels and mismatched mint green and light pink clear plates. And did the same with the forks and knives.

The little teacups and the napkins are also from Party City.

For her smash cake we thought it would be cute to put her in a full on Alice and Wonderland outfit. It was a hugggee hit. All in all Olive’s birthday was so much fun. I really wanted to throw a memorable party that we would remember and we could show her pictures later on in life.

What did you do for your child’s first birthday party?!
